CHEFS IN SCHOOLS
The Belazu Foundation continues to support better school food and education through partnership with Chefs in Schools, providing quality produce at an affordable price, matched funding to transform school food, and setting up The Belazu Kitchen Equipment Fund to supports schools with much needed kitchen and food education equipment.
Iffley Fun Day
Once a year, Belazu organises a Fun Day for children with complex special educational needs at The Iffley Academy in Oxfordshire. Belazu Employees make pizzas, smoothies and run outdoor activities, providing a safe environment for the children to play and their families to meet one another.
SCHOOL FOOD MATTERS
The Belazu Foundation helps to fund two projects with School Food Matters, an organisation which exists to teach children about food and to improve access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school. Through the award-winning food education programme Fresh Enterprise, secondary school students have the opportunity to learn about careers within the food industry and experience the journey of a new product from concept to shelf, where the winning product design in a cooking masterclass is chosen to be produced
ZAKOURA FOUNDATION
As The Belazu Foundation's longest charity partner since 2003, The Zakoura Foundation focuses on making education accessible in rural areas in Morocco. Having supported over 1000 women and children with the set-up of pre-schools, employing teachers, providing educational materials and parent sessions on different topics including hygiene, health food and education.
